Walter de Oude is the Deputy Chairman of Aviva Singlife, a homegrown insurer formed following the merger of Aviva Singapore and Singlife, one of the biggest insurance deals in Southeast Asia. Prior to the merger, Walter was the founder and Group CEO of Singlife, a Singapore based digital insurer that aims to unlock the potential of money by making financial services more convenient, transparent, accessible and affordable.

Tom is the Head of Insurance at Grab, where he oversees the strategic direction and development of the insurance offering in Grab Financial Group. He and the team are on a mission to help address the insurance gap in Southeast Asia, by using technology and data to design innovative digital solutions.
Prior to joining Grab, Tom was part of the early team at Chubb Digital, where he was Head of Digital Partnerships APAC. In this role, he built strategic partnerships with technology companies and financial institutions across Asia. Tom has over 15 years experience in financial services including at ANZ and Barclays in Australasia and Singapore. He has also been part of several startups including as Head of Partnerships for an insurtech-focused digital consultancy and as COO of an early stage HR tech startup.
Tom has a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Finance from the University of Otago in New Zealand and an Executive MBA from INSEAD.
Michael worked in executive positions in the insurance industry with Aviva and MSIG for over 40 years, mostly in Asia, with intervening periods in London, Bermuda and New Zealand.
He is currently Non Executive Chairman of QBE Asia and acts as an independent director and advisor to insurers and insurtech companies on innovation through digitalisation, business performance improvement and mergers and acquisitions.

Jonathan was appointed as Swiss Re Corporate Solutions' CEO of Asia Pacific in July 2017, having previously held the role of Head South East Asia.

Cole Sirucek is an investor and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience founding, investing into and otherwise supporting entrepreneurial ventures. He is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of DocDoc, the world's first patient intelligence company. Prior to DocDoc, Cole spent seven years in the direct investment team of Temasek Holdings. In this capacity, he has successfully invested over US$500M in private equity direct and secondary transactions. He has also served as an Independent Member of the Board of Directors for Global Eagle Acquisition Corp, a US$190M, NASDAQ listed SPAC focused on the media and entertainment industry. Justin Yiu is passionate about building initiatives from scratch and exploring spaces which are rapidly evolving. That's why over the last 6 years, he has led the launch and growth of Solaria Labs, Liberty Mutual's innovation arm, and launched insurtech products across Asia.
Justin is currently the Head of Innovation and oversees Solaria Labs for Liberty Mutual’s Asia operations which includes China, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Singapore. His team leads new-product development, using human-centric design to create solutions which make insurance simple and accessible to the everyday consumer. Al-Noor, who joined Prudential in January 2016 as Group Chief Digital Officer, is responsible for developing and executing an integrated, long-term digital strategy for all the Group companies in Prudential. He runs the Digital Business as well as providing the platform for the traditional business.
Before joining Prudential, he worked at Northgate Capital, a venture capital firm in Bay Area, where he raised money and ran the technology-focused funds. Dr. Deepak Gandhi has over 20 years of experience and is a well-rounded risk manager with extensive experience in life and health insurance underwriting, claims management, products, process automation, operations transformation, clinical and insurance medicine. He has completed his degree in Medicine, holds an MBA in insurance and has worked with insurers and reinsurers across different markets. As Head of New Business Underwriting at Great Eastern Life Assurance, Singapore, Dr. Deepak is responsible for ensuring process digitalization and operations management. Ned always had a burning passion for technology — he had picked up coding at the age of 8 and had always envisioned himself being a chip designer as he studied for his Masters of Engineering at Imperial College London.

Lee has over 16 years’ experience in actuarial, AI / data analytics, research and consulting roles at primary insurers, reinsurers and independent consulting. As a regional Chief Analytics Offer, Lee leads the APAC, Middle East and Africa AI (advanced analytics) team, located in Singapore covering Life & Health for Munich Re. By combining data, AI, tech and deep risk expertise into digital solutions, Munich Re is transforming the customer experience and operational efficiency of insurers. Lee’s specialist skills include AI and predictive analytics, actuarial pricing, epidemiological and demographic modelling, analysis of medical scheme cohort data and healthcare intervention cost-effectiveness. His Master’s degree, presented at the 2014 International Congress of Actuaries in Washington D.C., provided many South African insurers with the first credible South African research for underwriting HIV and applied advanced analytics methods to medical scheme and managed care data. In her current role at Manulife Financial for Asia, Sonali is responsible for creating and consolidating experience frameworks across the Bancassurance business with a specific focus on digital experiences. Sonali is also responsible for a SGD100M fund that drives investment in making insurance available for all.
Prior to joining Manulife, Sonali worked at Citibank Singapore for almost nine years. She launched and led key initiatives where her team embedded the ‘Client Excellence’ philosophy across Citibank Singapore. During her tenure, Citibank was ranked number one in the category in CSISG, an index compiled by the Singapore government to gauge client satisfaction scores across various industries.
Sonali Verma over has 20 years of rich experience in organizational operations, service and customer experience. At the Singapore FinTech Awards 2019, Bin Ru has been recognized as one of the “Top 5 Women in FinTech” for her exceptional contributions to the Singapore fintech industry, and “Asia FinTech Leaders” for her leadership in building a sustainable company amidst its rapid expansion in the region. Richard started working on micro insurance in January 2002 when he joined Opportunity International a leading microfinance provider from Benfield Greig (now Aon Benfield), a global reinsurance intermediary. At Benfield he worked as a reinsurance broker responsible for the African account and worked in a team covering the Middle East and South East Asia.
Richard pioneered the introduction of insurance products within the Opportunity Network which lead to the establishment of MicroEnsure in 2006. As a leading insurance intermediary for the mass market, MicroEnsure provides life, health and weather index insurance to over 60,000,000 people in 16 countries in Africa and Asia. In October 2007 MicroEnsure was awarded a $24.3m grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to expand its pioneering microinsurance and experiment with a wider range of distribution channels.
Richard also served on the steering committee of the ILO "Micro Insurance Innovation Fund" a $35m fund provided by the Gates Foundation and he has served as a member of the Micro Insurance Network Board.
Cherie is the founder of Planner Bee, a mobile app dedicated to simplifying and automating financial planning for the masses. She has ranked in the top 5% of financial advisors globally for the past 10 years running.
Cherie graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Minor in Technopreneurship. She is also a certified Chartered Financial Consultant and Chartered Life Underwriter.
She built Planner Bee in response to the feedback she's received from thousands of clients, to solve their pain points and help them build towards their life goals. Integra Partners is an early stage fund focussed on financial services, insurance and digital healthcare in the ASEAN region. Having spun out of Dymon Asia Capital in 2020, the fund maintains a sector focussed approach. In his capacity as Partner, Jinesh oversees all fund investments. Prior to Integra Partners, Jinesh managed capital in the alternatives space. The early part of his career was spent covering the TMT sector within the investment banking divisions of Goldman Sachs and UBS. Oscar Ramos, Partner & Managing Director of Chinaccelerator, is a "full-stack innovator" with expertise ranging from hard technology and product design to corporate strategy and venture capital.
After getting his Master of Engineering in Telecommunications, he started off his career in Ericsson as an R&D engineer and later joined Telefonica Research Center working on deep tech topics such as mobile network protocols, cybersecurity, RF and media technology. He then transitioned to the world of HealthTech and startups after working on a user-centric design mode and discovering Business Model Innovation in his previous position. His passion for innovation propelled him to move to China in early 2008 and drop out of his Biomedical Ph.D. program to start his first venture.

Alex Kimura is a strategic and operations expert in the financial services industry and Asia markets.
Prior to McKinsey, Alex worked in investment banking and management consulting; later, held C-Suite positions in leading global insurance firms. He had profit and loss and line operational responsibilities that included distribution and wealth management, strategy, innovation and customer experience, M&A, corporate development, data analytics, digital transformation, and venture capital in several countries across Asia. A main area of recent focus has been on digital innovation where he spearheaded efforts to build the next generation of insurance business models and also chaired the digital innovation roundtable of Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
For more than two decades, Alex has led top-tier insurance organizations and has been responsible for transformational development efforts across life, property and casualty, and health insurance businesses. He was also instrumental in executing the major transactions and structuring activities across the region, directing portfolio acquisitions, partnerships, joint-ventures, and divestments.
Over the years, Alex has served on a number of boards, an extension of the network and partnerships he built together with the leading financial institutions and national champions in Greater China, Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, and India.
Pieter joined Sequoia in 2014 as one of the first members of the firm’s Southeast Asia investment team. He advises on early stage investments in consumer internet, fintech, with a special focus on B2B software and SaaS. Ajit is a Principal in the Insurance Practice at Oliver Wyman, based in Singapore, and leads the Bancassurance topic for the practice in the region. With an academic background in pharmaceuticals and business, Sebastien Gaudin worked as Corporate development, Marketing and Business leader on multiple therapeutic and geographic markets at Sanofi for twelve years, taking a management position within Sanofi China in 2011. Working with Chinese Ministry of Health representatives and hospital leaders, Sebastien soon noticed how wary Chinese patients were of their national healthcare system and started The CareVoice by early 2014. Witnessing private medical sector taking off and insurers’ growing interest to become health partners of their members, he pivoted the company business by late 2016 aiming to make health insurance more human.

After graduating from PingAn first accelerator program and soft-launching the first health benefit and insurance for start-ups in China, Sebastien co-founded StartupCare a related insurtech dedicated to commercializing innovative health insurance so that SME employers, their family-minded employees and specific individual populations can access faster to tailored and valuable health insurance.

Juergen Weiss is heading Gartner's Financial Services, Research and Advisory group. Mr. Weiss focuses on insurance industry research, covering a broad range of business and technology topics. Among his focus areas are digital transformation, best practices in innovation management and collaboration with startups. Mr. Weiss has more than 15 years of IT experience. Prior to joining Gartner, he had several executive roles in product management, development and consulting at SAP, where he was globally responsible for one of SAP's product lines in financial management.

Neil is a creative technologist passionate about building innovative technology products. With deep roots in the Silicon Valley tech culture, he has over 15 years of experience in product management and innovation design, starting with product management and R&D roles at WebEx (a pioneer in the SaaS industry), and growing with WebEx through its acquisition by Cisco.
In 2009, Neil returned to his birthplace of Shanghai to join frog design, a global innovation and design firm. He spent several years at frog as part of the management team, before becoming GM of Fitch, a global retail experience design consultancy. Before joining The CareVoice, Neil was an R&D and innovation consultant for several technology brands in China. He joined The CareVoice after the start-up’s shift toward insurtech.
Wellness Services Head
Paul Oudenhoven joined Prudential in February 2019 as the head of the Vitality Center of excellence, a new Prudential service company that will be located in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Paul is the primary point of contact for Vitality within PII and has overall responsibility for the success of the wellness programs. He also oversees the strategy and all work streams and acts as the strategic liaison between the Vitality Group and Prudential.
Paul has more than 20 years of experience as a C Suite executive in sales, marketing and innovative project implementations for insurance and financial services. He has international experience acquired in 5 different countries: USA, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Spain. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
During 2018, he worked for a Venture Capital fund based in London, where he was in charge of connecting start-ups with corporate Open Innovation projects. In the ten years prior to that, he held various commercial roles at Liberty Mutual in their Spain and Brazil operations as well as regional roles for LATAM in Miami.
Before that, he worked as a CMO in several large financial services companies and developed several projects as an entrepreneur.
Paul received a Master of Business Intelligence and Big Data from EOI in Spain and a Master of International Management (MBA) from Thunderbird in Phoenix, Arizona. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from the College of Charleston.
Ian Gregory is a professional purveyor of fun, having spent the last decade as a game designer, creative consultant, and educator. After co-founding and leading award-winning game studios, he now meshes his passions in gaming, business strategy and education by consulting for companies, schools and government agencies interested in weaving game design into their engagement and products. Aside from such endeavors, Ian can be found at the head of a Dungeons & Dragons table or elbow-deep in Lego.
